After nearly three decades of faithful leadership, Mike Machado announced to the team today that he has officially stepped down from the position of Head Varsity Football Coach
Coach Machado's impact on Valley Christian High School and our Warrior community reaches far beyond the field. Over 29 years, he has led with excellence, earning more than 250 victories, multiple league and CCS Championships, and influencing countless student-athletes through the sport he loves. His dedication to building Christ-centered leaders has shaped generations of Warriors, and his heart for service is evidenced through initiatives like the Football Camp for the Stars, a program serving athletes with Down Syndrome who share a passion for football.
VCHS Principal Dr. Jennifer Silva shared, "Coach Machado's impact on students, athletes, and families will be felt for generations. His leadership, character, and commitment to developing young men of God have left a remarkable legacy. We are grateful he will continue to serve our community as Dean of Students at VCHS."
Reflecting on his time at Valley Christian, Machado shared, "It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve as the head football coach at Valley Christian for the past three decades. Our program is built on incredible student-athletes, families, and coaches. I am confident that the future of Warrior Football is bright, and I look forward to supporting the next coach as the program continues to grow."
Valley Christian High School has begun the search for our next Head Varsity Football Coach, a mature Christian leader who will continue to advance our mission of developing students to honor God and pursue excellence.
