Jordan Evanger Joins Valley Christian High School as New Girls Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach

San Jose, CA – December 19, 2025 – Valley Christian High School is thrilled to announce the selection of Jordan Evanger as the new head coach of the girls varsity lacrosse team. With a proven track record of excellence in coaching and player development, Coach Evanger brings a wealth of experience and passion to the Warriors' program, poised to elevate the team to new heights in the upcoming seasons.

Jordan Evanger, a Gilroy native and San Jose State University alumna, is no stranger to the Bay Area lacrosse scene. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Master's degree in Sports Management from SJSU, where she also played for the Spartans women's lacrosse team, Evanger has dedicated her career to mentoring young female athletes. Most recently, she served as head coach of the girls lacrosse program at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill from 2020 to 2025. Under her guidance, the Acorns achieved remarkable success, including a standout 15-3 record in the 2025 season and consistent dominance in league play.

Her innovative coaching style, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and personal growth, earned her recognition as one of USA Lacrosse's 2024 High School Girls' Coaches of the Year for the Central Coast Region as well as in 2025.
Reflecting on her time at Live Oak, "Over the past five seasons... I've worked to build a program that not only wins games but also shapes confident, resilient young women."
 
Now, at Valley Christian, she aims to instill the same values, aligning with the school's mission to integrate faith and athletics. "Her expertise in teaching lacrosse fundamentals, combined with her commitment to mentoring, will inspire our student-athletes both on and off the field."
