Landon Jacobs is in his second year as Valley Christian High School's Assistant Athletic Director. He brings more than two decades of experience as an athletic administrator, championship coach and award-winning educator. He joined the Warriors in 2025 and also teaches junior high physical education.
Jacobs came to Valley Christian from Branham High School in San Jose. He served as Branham's Athletic Director for 14 years and was a fixture on campus for more than two decades. He taught History and Public Speaking for 11 years, was the school's AVID Coordinator for two years, and was named Branham High School Teacher of the Year for 2024–25.
On the baseball field, Jacobs built Branham into a winner. After starting as a varsity assistant at San Mateo High School in 2003, he took over Branham's JV program in 2005–06. He then led the Bruins' varsity for 12 seasons (2007–2018). His teams won:
- CCS Division II Champions: 2014
- BVAL Santa Teresa Division Champions: 2007
- BVAL Mount Hamilton Division Champions: 2015
Jacobs was a standout two-sport athlete at Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara, earning all-league honors in football and baseball before graduating in 1998. He went on to play baseball at Westmont College. He earned his bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, with a minor in History, from Westmont in 2002. At San José State University, he earned a single-subject teaching credential in Social Science (2004) and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration (2008).
"The Valley Christian community is incredible in how the staff, students, families and alumni love and support each other," Jacobs says.
The Jacobs family has Warrior roots: Landon's wife, Brittney, is a 2002 Valley Christian graduate. They live in San Jose with their children, Ryan and Tatum, and attend Venture Christian Church.
His life verse is Philippians 4:6–7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." "It's a great reminder to let go of my plans and trust in God," he says.
Fun fact: Jacobs and his son are on a mission to visit every Major League ballpark. They're trying to catch up with fellow Warrior Adam Gill's family, and they only have a handful left.
