JV Season Recap
With dedication and determination, the JV Softball team had a successful season that was not represented by their record. The majority of the JV team was comprised of freshmen and first year players. Playing in one of the toughest softball leagues, the team knew they would have to work hard this season. They accepted that challenge and with lots of practice and dedication, the girls learned the basics and grew as players as the season progressed.

The season started with much excitement and anticipation. The team’s hard work during practice was starting to show on the field. This lead to many close games throughout the season. The team continued to work hard, even though, the outcome was not always reflected positively in the score. As the season progressed, we celebrated many of the little wins and accomplishments along the way. By focusing on identifying our strengths and opportunities, we continued to close the margin on other teams. In the end, there was a notable difference in the way the team played early in the season versus the end of the season. Playing in one of the toughest leagues in the Bay Area, the team received many accolades from other coaches in the noticeable improvement of our team.
With a young team, Valley Christian’s Girls JV Softball team performed well this season and showed a lot of heart. With this attitude and discipline, we have begun to build a team and program for the future.
