2008 will be a new beginning for the softball program. The team will have a new coaching staff that will bring high energy and passion to the game. New head varsity coach Alex Sanguinetti from Montreal Canada played at Oklahoma City University as a pitcher and outfielder. In her three years there she won three NAIA National Championships, and was MVP of one. Following her graduation she played for the Canadian National Team where she participated in the 2002 World Championships. In 2007, she relocated to San Jose and opened up South Bay Sports Training, a sports specific training facility specializing in the softball/baseball training and instruction.
Assistant varsity coach Diffric Jackson comes with many years of coaching experience and is the head coach of the 8th grade flag football team.
We are very excited for this upcoming season. There will be many returning players from the 2007 team. Among them are two Seniors Sarah Reinartz and Kerbie Haight. With these players and our young upcoming talent we look forward to a successful season for the JV and Varsity teams.
