Biographical Info:
After growing up in Ohio, where he was a 4:29 miler and a 3-year varsity cross country runner in high school, coach Lee moved to sunny San Jose to teach at Campbell Christian Schools . There he started his coaching career, coaching all sports (soccer, softball and basketball) at the Junior High level. He then moved on to coach cross country (his true passion, next to Christ and his family) at Valley Christian.
While at Valley Christian Jonathan has coached his teams to league titles, as well as CCS and State Meet berths. He has coached several athletes who have gone on to run in college including fellow VCHS assistant coach Johanna Fogolin.
Coach Lee loves running because it teaches alot about life and truly develops the discipline one needs to be successful later in life. His favorite verse is Colossians 3: 17 - 23, which says "whatever you do. do it as working for the Lord". There is no better advise than that.
In addition to running Coach Lee loves the ocean, the Cincinnati Bengals, and roller coasters. (sorry, Sarah). He has been married for 17 years to his wife Lori and they have 2 amazing sons, Christian age 10 , and Jon-Martin, age 8. |
