Pepperdine Invitational Summary

It Never Rains in Southern California .....

Well almost never. The Warriors competed in a torrential downpour Saturday at the Pepperdine Invitational in Malibu . The " Most Beautiful Cross Country Course in the World" was under 2 inches of water by the start of the Girls Varsity Race and the rain continued to fall until noon. The weather however did not deter the Lady Warriors from finishing second in the small school section of this invitational that featured nearly 100 teams from at least 5 states. Jennifer Bergman led the girls team with a 1st place finish. She was followed by new edition to the team, Kendra Higgins who finished 7th. The boys were equally impressive finishing 5th and led by Sophomore Dean Anthoni Barron, who finished 11th. It was a great trip overall and taught the team to overcome adversity as we never know what God has in store.
