The Valley Christian wrestling team hopes everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Unfortunately, our wrestlers did not get much rest over the Christmas holidays. In fact, they stepped-up their training schedule during the holidays. While most of their peers were enjoying turkey, apple pies, tamales or whatever their traditions, the VCHS wrestlers were practicing twice a day and losing weight in preparation for the start of the official 2007 wrestling season.

Although Serra won the dual meet, several Valley Christian Warriors pulled off some important victories over some very impressive CCS ranked wrestlers.

Varsity Results:

Adam Crawley (135's) - Dominated his opponent and won by a sizable margin.

Charlie Galaviz (160's) - Got revenge against the #5 CCS ranked opponent who gave him his only loss a couple of weeks ago by defeating him 11-9.

Peipe James (189's) - Won by one point in a very tight contest that was only decided by an escape in the last few seconds of the third period.

Ryan Gardner (215's) - Defeated his opponent by overpowering him and pinning him in the first period.
