The JV tennis team finished a 'best since WCAL' season with a 5-6 record overall, 4-6 in league play. The team record was helped by strong play from several seasoned players (freshmen).

We defeated Archbishop Mitty for the first time, here at home; final score VC-4 Mitty-3. Great job by JV players coming through in the clutch for the win!

The majority of JV players this year were freshmen, which bodes well for the future of VC Tennis. The majority of last year's JV team moved up to play Varsity this year because of so many Seniors graduating last year, so they have another year of experience and good coaching to benefit from next year.

The tennis pipeline looks strong for next year and beyond with so many younger players performing well and getting tournament experience. We have made the kind of progress Brooke and I talked about a few years ago. VC Tennis is moving in the right direction and getting stronger with more depth. Brooke did a great job with a very young Varsity team, most of which will be returning next year.
